Groundbreaking planned for September 2026; construction completion anticipated in Fall 2027.

The project will be completed in two main phases. Phase 1, beginning in fall 2026, will focus on underground utility improvements, starting block by block on Wenatchee Avenue and progressing toward Orondo Avenue.

Work is currently anticipated to take approximately 4–5 weeks between Kittitas Street and Yakima Street, followed by another 4–5 weeks between Yakima Street and Orondo Avenue. This work will include installation of the new water line, with any required water shutoffs coordinated well in advance with affected tenants and business owners.

Once the water line work is complete, disturbed areas of Wenatchee Avenue will be temporarily paved for the winter. Construction will resume in spring 2027 with the broader streetscape improvements, including sidewalks, landscaping, and other beautification work.

Yakima St → Orondo Ave
